Needs analysis of the recipient households and barriers/constraints as well as potential for productive investment of remittances

The project aimed to strengthen development-relevant contributions and investments by expanding knowledge and access to financial services. It focused on creating mechanisms to facilitate savings and emigrant investments in Kosovo, while also improving the capacity of Kosovo's institutions to develop data-driven policies on emigration and development. The study on remittances in Kosovo explored the revenues, impact, and economic influence of migration and remittances on the country and its population. Based on a household survey on remittances conducted in the summer of 2021, the study provided valuable insights for shaping future economic policies.
