The project focused on establishing an Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) system in Kosovo to facilitate the transition toward a circular economy. It aimed to enhance separate waste collection through intermunicipal cooperation and increased private sector participation. Key activities included conducting market analysis, reviewing the legal and institutional framework, and engaging stakeholders in dialogue. Additionally, an EPR business case and implementation plan were developed for four specific waste streams to ensure a structured and sustainable approach to waste management.
